Ajima Innovation is a software development and IT company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Our main work is building and supporting websites, custom web applications and mobile apps for businesses in Nepal and abroad. We also offer SEO, digital marketing and social media.

The name

"Ajima" means grandmother in Newari (Nepal Bhasa). A grandmother remembers everything, looks after the family over decades, and does not walk away when things get hard. That is the kind of software company we want to be: we build carefully, we write everything down, and we stay to maintain what we ship.

Meet the founder

Ajima Innovation was founded by Sushil Shrestha, a backend and full-stack engineer with around eight years of experience building SaaS platforms and enterprise software, including secure, scalable cloud systems for healthcare communication.

Regulated industries leave no room for guesswork. We bring the same care, security and reliability to every business we work with.

What we value

    A named person approves anything that touches money, clients, contracts or production systems.

  2. Honest over impressive.

    We tell clients when something is not feasible, when an estimate is uncertain, or when we made a mistake.

    We write code, infrastructure and documents for the person who inherits them.

  4. Written down, or it didn't happen.

    Decisions and knowledge are recorded, not left in someone's head or a chat thread.

  5. Client data is not ours.

    When convenience conflicts with protecting client data, we protect the data.

  6. Long-term relationships over short-term revenue.

    We would rather turn down a project than deliver one we cannot support.

Work we don't take on

Whatever the budget, we do not build:

  • surveillance, stalking or covert tracking of individuals

  • tools that deceive users: dark patterns, fake reviews, impersonation, deepfakes of real people

  • gambling, betting or loan-shark lending apps

  • crypto speculation platforms, token launches or "get rich" schemes

  • weapons, or systems whose main purpose is harming people

  • tools that scrape or resell personal data without consent

  • malware, spyware, credential harvesting, or tools that bypass security controls

  • AI systems that make final decisions about people (hiring, credit, medical, legal) with no human review
